Terms and Conditions
1. Provision of Services
Vodafone will use all reasonable efforts to provide reliable and high quality Services however does not guarantee the availability of Services or that Services will be continuous or fault free. Any Service inquiries or problems should be directed to Customer Services by phoning 0508 508 773 Toll Free.
2. General
Your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 account will be available for use once we have processed your order and provided you with an email confirming your account is activated. Depending on the time you place your order, this confirmation email will be sent to you on the same or the next business day.
Calls can be made to and from landlines unless otherwise stated.
Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 offers 500/1000/2000 minutes of calling to the following countries: Australia landline, Canada landline, China landline and mobile, France landline, Germany landline, Hong Kong landline and mobile, India landline and mobile, Malaysia landline, New Zealand landline, South Africa landline, United Kingdom landline, United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) landline. This list is subject to change at short notice.
Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 is not refundable or transferable.
Call records shown as used on your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 account are agreed by you to be final proof of calls made and call duration.
0800, 0900, 018 and 0172 numbers cannot be called using Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000.
3. Amendments to Standard Terms
Vodafone may amend or replace these Standard Terms from time to time.
4. Use of Services
You may not use, or allow anyone to use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that may cause damage to Vodafone's network or interfere with the provision of Services to other customers.
5. Our liability to you
To the extent allowable by law:
our liability for any claim, damages, loss or expense that you incur as a result of anything we have done or not done is limited to Vodafone's standard charge for providing the Service giving rise to the claim against Vodafone; and
we will not be liable for any loss of profits or any consequential, indirect or special damage, loss or injury of any kind suffered by you or any other person.
6. Liability of third parties to you
The following people will not have any liability to you:
our employees, contractors and representatives;
other network operators who use our network and allow us to use their networks, and their employees, contractors and representatives; and
any person who provides any service, which is part of our services, and their employees, contractors and representatives.
7. Collecting and using information about you
You agree that personal information about you will be collected and held by or on behalf of Vodafone New Zealand Limited, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may not be able to use Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 or receive all of the services if all the requested information is not provided. Such information collected and held may be used from time to time to provide you with Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000, for keeping you informed about new services and changes to existing services (unless you have told us that you do not want to receive this information) and for other reasons as set out in the Privacy Policy. This information may from time to time be disclosed to, and collected from, our employees, contractors, agents and suppliers. Under the Privacy Act 1993, you have rights of access to, and correction of, your personal information.
8. Consumer guarantees
You can exercise your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 at any time.
9. Nature of Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000
Calls can be made by anyone who is aware of your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 account number and has access to your designated home phone. Therefore you should keep your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 account number confidential to prevent misuse and should protect your account number as securely as cash. Vodafone is not liable to you for any loss arising out of misuse, loss or theft of your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 account number. Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 is not redeemable for cash.
10. Expiry
Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 expires 2 calendar months from first use. If you recharge your Prepaid Max 500/1000/2000 you will receive another 2 calendar months of calling credit.
